ANPR/LPR: ticketless access for car parks in Europe

ANPR/LPR systems read the vehicle plate and open the barrier without a ticket or remote control. In high-turnover car parks they cut queues and reduce staffing costs.

Real accuracy

With a dedicated camera mounted 3-4 m high and fitted with infrared illumination, accuracy exceeds 98% in normal conditions. Heavy rain or dirty plates reduce the rate, so pairing the system with RFID or a backup QR code is advisable.

Integration

The system connects to car park software through an API, SDK or relay output. It supports resident and staff whitelists, blacklists, automatic time-based charging and occupancy control.

Installation

Define the lane, mounting height, camera angle and detection point first. Mount the camera ahead of the barrier so the vehicle does not have to stop.
